Anne Büscher graduated in jewelry from the Maastricht Academy of Arts and Design in 2014 and holds a diploma in materials and design from the Sandberg Instituut Amsterdam. She was recently in residence at the Résidences-Ateliers Vivegnis International (RAVI, Liège). Anne Büscher’s work is somewhere on the cutting edge of research, material, craft and form. She experiments with various characteristics of materials such as glass, marble and photographic paper. The principle of discovery, heterogeneity and imitation are the fundamentals that guide her artistic practice. His work has a definite fragility and a strong emphasis on the process of making. Orienting his research towards reflective surfaces and the place of materials in Japanese ceremony, Büscher’s work focuses on the relationship between material and ritual.
