Lives and works in Liège
Through his artistic work, Emmanuel Dundic invites us to take part in a narrative made up of words, images and objects. His works seem to evoke snatches of memory, precise or blurred moments, sentimentally precious relics, people who have disappeared or elements of a history that is unique to each individual. Their historical dimension is undeniable and powerful, but also disconcerting. Added to these works is the use of double-meaning words, aphorisms, words in a drawer. A recurrent feature of the artist’s work, this adds mystery, rupture and an extra dimension, revealing her interest in literature and writing, as well as her practice as a visual artist.
