David Evrard, born in Liège, 1970, is an artist, author, teacher and founder of Joe Dalton magazine and Year annual. Co-director of the “Misssouri” project. He has held solo exhibitions at BOZAR, Brussels, BPS22, Charleroi, Confort Moderne, Poitiers, La Salle de Bain, Lyon, la Fabrika, Sofia and at the Rencontres de la photographie d’Arles. Recently participated in group exhibitions at MAC Lyon, EKKM Talinn, Passerelles art center, Brest, etc. He is the author of “Spirit of Ecstasy” (2011) distributed by les presses du réel, of “Odysseum” (riviera, Paris), published “Trouble Academy/After Howl” (2013) with éditions Nero, Rome and “Super School” with le confort Moderne, Poitiers, with his erg students. Various publications are dedicated to him, such as “David Evrard/catalogue” by the Palais des Beaux Arts, Brussels, “L’Université du Travail” by bps22, Charleroi.

David Evrard runs the Studio Master Sculpture at ERG, Brussels and has been an editor for C4 magazine, Liège. Recent solo exhibitions include “La Drogue” (Rurart, Venours, 2015), “Turbo, turbo mouse” (SIC, Brussels, 2016) and I Like it Raw (Galerie Deschin, Paris, 2016). After several collective experiences produced by David Evrard as part of his courses at ERG Bruxelles and ESAM Cherbourg, including the opera “Death is all you Need” at Comédie de Caen, the feature film “Le reader” and the exhibition-performance “Magma”, produced in conjunction with several art centers in the south of France, David proposes a solo exhibition at New Space entitled “Gifted by Nature” (2021).
