In 1992, she left for Madagascar, the Pearl of the Indian Ocean, and became Sexy Exp\u00e9dition Y\u00e9y\u00e9. She lives and works in Tamatave.  <\/p>\n<p>According to Sexy Y\u00e9y\u00e9, art is the creation of bridges in the world, enabling travel, openness and communication between different cultures and universes. She uses it as a connecting thread between people, trees, plants, rivers, clouds, stars, the sea and the wind, between reality and imagination, between different truths. <\/p>\n<p>She reinvents the world around her with bits of string, wire, driftwood and multicolored pasta, which she transforms into spring-loaded alchemical concoctions to escape into whimsical adventures inspired by everyday life, discovering cultures and myths where truth and imagination simply coexist. The presence of crazy lemurs reinforces a world of derision that she calls \"Nuova L\u00e9muriatus\". It's through the imaginary that truth is born. <\/p>\n<p>For her, Madagascar is an inexhaustible source of inspiration and creative resource. It's a perpetual initiation into the philosophy of life. Sharing experiences with people where she lives in communion with the energies of nature.  <\/p>\n<p>\"  <em>Sexy Exp\u00e9dition Y\u00e9y\u00e9 carries with it a love of the land to which it has adapted body and soul. Articulated in palindrome form, her plastic narrative transcends the straitjacket of stereotyped iconography. Her overloaded composition, presented in sequences, recreates an imaginary world that is so close to our own.
